3 Exercise F"Y"Is for Your Diet For Good Health
Exercise Tips to Help You Reach Your Goals
When I first started exercising, it was something I wasn't use to and my body was letting me know it. The sore muscles and fatigue were helping me to find every excuse I could to skip a workout. The good news is that I stuck with the routine, even after faltering occasionally, and it helped me to shed some pounds and reduce my body fat percentage. There were three concepts that I found I had to keep focused on in order to stick with my exercise routine. I refer to them as the Ys for your end results because all three principles end with y. They are consistency, accuracy, intensity.I had to stay consistent with my exercise. I knew that if I quit, it would make my goals a bit more of a long term destination and I was looking for results as quick as possible. Even if I missed a workout, I had to forgive myself and get back to it as soon as possible. Plus, I had read somewhere that if you can make it through the first 6 weeks of exercise, you are likely to stick with it and I wanted exercise to be part of my normal daily activities so I focused on consistently working out for at least 6 weeks.I also had to learn about intensity and making myself put some effort into my workouts. When you first begin to incorporate exercise with your diet for good health, it will be a slow and gradual process. For the sake of making sure your body and heart can handle it, you have to start that way. But over the course of time, even as soon as two weeks into your plan, you can start increasing your intensity. When you do that then you start burning more calories and see faster results, which I found to be exciting. The last principle for me to remember was accuracy. The funny thing about accuracy is that if you don't get it right, your body will let you know. It's not easy to walk at a quick speed when you get a hitch in your giddy up. In fact, an injury will set you back and possibly cause you to ultimately give up on your plan and that's the last thing you want to have occur. My attention was given to exercising in a correct manner to avoid getting hurt.So if you want to exercise in conjunction with starting your diet for good health, just remember the principles of consistency, intensity, and accuracy. Doing so will have you feeling better and showing visual results at rapid speeds.Follow the link if you believe the Strip That Fat system made be your answer as a diet for good health.for more information.
Weight Loss Health Alert!!! Our kids are at risk.
Did you know???
This new study provides even more of a reason to instill upon today's children a habit of maintaining a diet for good health."This is the first generation of kids, who will not outlive their parents due to medical conditions caused by obesity."Read the story below:Adolescent Obesity Kills Middle-Aged AdultsYes, there's a childhood and adolescent obesity epidemic out there. The word on the street now is that "this is the first generation of kids, who will not outlive their parents".Bjørge and colleagues studied the relationship between BMI (measured height and weight) and mortality in 227,000 adolescents (aged 14-19 years) recruited in Norwegian health surveys in 1963-1975. During follow-up (8 million person-years), 9,650 deaths were observed. Cause-specific mortality was compared among individuals whose baseline BMI was below the 25th percentile, between the 75th and 84th percentiles, and above the 85th percentile in a US reference population with that of individuals whose BMI was between the 25th and 75th percentiles.Risk of death from endocrine, nutritional, and metabolic diseases and from circulatory system diseases was increased in the two highest BMI categories for both sexes. Relative risks of ischemic heart disease death were 2.9 for males and 3.7 for females in the highest BMI category compared with the reference. There was also increased risk of death from colon cancer (males: 2.1; females: 2.0), respiratory system diseases (males: 2.7; females: 2.5), and sudden death (males: 2.2; females: 2.7).The authors conclude that adolescent obesity is related to increased mortality in middle age from several important causes. For the entire story click hereStrip That Fat works for the entire family as a diet for good health.
Body Mass Index Weight Chart
What does it mean? What is your BMI?
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person's weight and height. BMI provides a reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems. How can I tell if I'm at a healthy weight?Adult Body Mass Index or BMI is one way we can determine whether we are at our healthy weight. For most people, BMI is a reliable indicator of body fatness. It is calculated based on our height and weight. To calculate your BMI, see the BMI Calculator. Or determine your BMI by finding your height and weight in this BMI Index Chart. If your BMI is less than 18.5, it falls within the "underweight" range. Your health care provider can help you to achieve a healthier total body weight. If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, it falls within the "normal" or Healthy Weight range. Keep up the good work!If your BMI is 25.0 to 29.9, it falls within the "overweight" range. Therefore, you may need to lose weight, especially if you have two or more of the risk factors for diseases associated with overweight. If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the "obese" range. Therefore, you should talk to your doctor or health care provider about losing weight.Waist CircumferenceAnother way to check our weight condition is to measure our waist size. Our waistline may be telling us that we have a higher risk of developing obesity-related conditions such as:A man whose waist circumference is more than 40 inchesA non-pregnant woman whose waist circumference is more than 35 inchesExcessive abdominal fat is serious because it places you at greater risk for developing obesity-related conditions, such as Type 2 Diabetes, high blood cholesterol, high triglycerides, high blood pressure, and coronary artery disease. Individuals who have excessive abdominal fat should consult with their physicians or other health care providers to develop a plan for losing weight. How To Measure Our Waist SizeTo measure the waist size (circumference), place a tape measure around your bare abdomen just above your hip bone. Be sure that the tape is snug, but does not compress your skin, and is parallel to the floor. Relax, exhale, and measure your waist.Learn how the Strip That Fat system can help you lose weight by following this diet for good health link.
